FRIED PIES
With extra virgin olive oil IRINA
Ingredients
1 glass of water
2 eggs
1 cup extra virgin olive oil IRINA
1 tsp of baking soda
a pinch of salt
all purpose flour
grated cheese
for frying extra virgin olive oil IRINA
Execution
In a bowl beat the eggs with the oil. Add the water, the baking soda and salt and continue beating and keep adding the flour until you have a smooth, manageable dough. Cover the bowl with a cloth and let it stay in room temperature for one hour. Make small round pies ( ½ cm thick and width equal to the opening of the water glass). With your finger make a hole in the center of each pie. Place 3 – 5 tbsp of olive oil in a saucepan and fry the pies in high heat until golden and double their size. Place the pies in a plate and sprinkle grated cheese over them.
